"PETER: A couple will now come to the altar. (Witness couple comes to altar as before.) Brethren and sisters, this couple at the altar represent all of you as if at the altar, and you will be under the same obligations as they will be. We are required to give unto you the Law of the Gospel as contained in the Book of Mormon and the Bible; to give unto you also a charge to avoid all lightmindedness, loud laughter, evil speaking of the Lord’s anointed, the taking of the name of God in vain, and every other unholy and impure practice, and to cause you to receive these by covenant." (Pre-1990 Temple Endowment)
"All arise. (All patrons stand.) Each of you bring your right arm to the square. (this is done.) You and each of you covenant and promise before God, angels, and these witnesses at this altar, that you will observe and keep the Law of the Gospel and this charge as it has been explained to you. Each of you bow your head and say “yes.” PATRONS: Yes. PETER: That will do. (All patrons sit down.)" (Pre-1990 Temple Endowment)
The second covenant that Mormons make, while in the endowment sessions of their temples, is called "the Law of the Gospel". Nothing is mentioned in regards to the cross, burial, and resurrection, but to covenant to avoid lightmindedness, which means to be serious and not joking around; Loud laughter or laughter that is rude, mocking, or inconsiderate; evil speaking of God's anointing or doing things to make him/her look bad; taking the name of God in vain or using God's name as a cuss word; and unholy and impure practices, which means sex outside of marriage between husband and wife, and unholy sexual practices like oral or anal sex. This covenant has nothing to do with the true gospel message, but is simply an instruction for righteous living in Mormonism. This covenant is given and received in these abominable temples as the law of the gospel
Notice that Peter is talking, which is a big deal since the video with him is supposedly during the time of Adam and Eve. He is the one instructing people to avoid the things I mentioned above and not God. And because they don't understand the importance of the cross, they substitute the garden for the place of atonement and not the cross alone. Therefore, the gospel message is changed. So what is the true gospel? Paul defined this in the verses below. "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) This is the message we preach, not to covenant things we know we will not be able to keep.
It is Satan that the Mormon church lifts up. We see this in their temple endowment ceremonies. Satan even gets up during this ceremony and says the following to every person who is making covenants that day. He says, "I have a word to say concerning these people. If they do not walk up to every covenant they make at these altars in this temple this day, they will be in my power!" (Pre-1990 Temple Endowment) So every time an LDS person is not being serious about things, they are under Satan's power. Each time they are laughing or mocking someone, they are under Satan's power. Each time they poke fun at God's anointing outside of Mormonism, they are under Satan's power. The same goes for taking the Lord's name in vain and being sexually immoral. Are Mormons perfect in keeping these covenants 100% of the time? Absolutely, not. So Satan's power is over them. And since Satan says this in their temples, they have to believe it. As Christians, we can see this and know that they need to be delivered, in order to turn from their sins and to the true Jesus of the Bible. Amen.
They limit members freedom to laugh? What a joyless life.
