Familiar Spirits In Mormonism

Often times when people think of the word, familiar spirits, they think of mediums and those who do psychic readings. These people consult the dead and often get things correct about people. This is because evil spirits know different people very well and can easily trick different people into thinking the reading is a good thing. Speaking of them, God said, “Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.” (Leviticus 19:31) People who consult the dead are not of God, for we are told to never do this in the Bible. What is sad is that the Mormon Church, or The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, is the largest religious group that consults the dead. This in itself speaks out about how cultish these actions are. During each ceremony in the temple, they also call upon dead people by name. This is done during baptisms for the dead, washings and anointings for dead people, endowments for dead people, and marriage ceremonies for dead people. They sure focus most of their attention on redeeming dead people, which is not possible.

An example of Mormons consulting the dead is during the sessions for baptisms for the dead in their temples. A person being baptized in place of a dead person says, “for and in behalf of [Name], who is dead.” “Having been commissioned of Jesus Christ, I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.” If you cannot see how eerie and satanic this really is, I don’t know what to think. Imagine all the dead people who have been called upon these two hundred years that this wicked church has been around. It is in the millions for sure. Them believing that a person who is dead can receive a baptism while in spirit prison, or what we call hell, is crazy talk. On judgment day, the wicked will not escape the lake of fire. “The fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation21:8) I tell you the truth. There are no second chances after death. Mormons must stop playing God and repent. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will begin to see the light of Your teachings and repent of every false belief/teaching and come to You in open arms. So many people proclaim to be saved and to know You when they are really far from You. If people would just know that the way they think is good is really evil, then they would fall down upon their knees and repent while they still have time. Lord, I’ve tried to talk sense into people who are lost, but too many of them are shut up and will not listen. They don’t care if what I have to say is true, they will live and die in a religion that does not save. More specifically, I’ve tried to reach Mormon Missionaries and others in their church with the true gospel message in the Bible, and they simply laugh and scoff at what I have to say. This is so sad, for if these people could see the road ahead of them they would be listening to not only me, Your messenger, but You in prayer, Jesus. Hell awaits those people who are following a false gospel, for not all paths lead to You. Lord, You are so good to me. Thank You for shining Your light upon me, that I might be saved. I love You, God. Amen.

  1. Amen! Work for the dead is just creepy and eerie. You cannot redeem dead people. There are no second chances after death. Hebrews 9:27 says as it appointed unto men once to die but after this, the judgment.
