“This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Matthew 15:8,9)
The truth of the matter is that very few if any Mormons will ever be saved. These people are so brainwashed that listening to what a Christian has to say may never happen. They don’t care if we use the Bible to share the truths of God’s Word with them. The beliefs that form from their modern day prophets and teachings are more important than what the Bible says. When I talk about modern day revelations, I mean teachings claimed by people, not messages from God. Are the Mormon people aware of the heresies taught in their scriptures and prophets? Absolutely not. This is because from a young age they are taught what is false. And the more they hear a teaching, the more it sounds true. Also, the more they bear their testimony, the more true their false beliefs sound. It isn’t until a Mormon puts aside their other so-called scriptures and starts to read the Bible alone, is God able to teach them. Doing this, the Holy Spirit will lead them to Jesus for salvation. At the same time, they will be able to unlearn the lies in Mormonism.
Before leaving Mormonism behind, their own teachings interfered with what God wanted to teach them. They could only read the Bible with a lens based on what they had been taught. Therefore, they never learned from God, but man. But have many people left Mormonism and come to Jesus in the end? Of course. However, the majority of Ex-Mormons become atheists. This is because if their own teachings are false, then all other churches teachings must be false also. They put two and two together and think it is better to not believe in God or the Bible. What we see here is people’s hearts getting harder towards God. They were already cold towards God’s true teachings in Mormonism, but now they reject Him all together. So is it any better to be a Mormon or an atheist? Neither. Both types of people end up in hell when they die. The only difference is Mormons hope to go to heaven and be exalted, where atheists don’t believe heaven exists. But the truth of the matter is hell is real, and that is why people need to get right with God now and not later. Come to Jesus while you still have time. Amen.
