Joseph Smith Added Himself Into The Bible

One of the most damning things a person can do in this life is to remove or take away from the Bible. And to take this to the next level is when a person is so prideful that they actually write themselves into a revised translation of God’s Word. This person, of whom I am speaking of, is Joseph Smith. Every Mormon should be very upset by what he did and leave Mormonism today, since he actually wrote his name in the Bible! You will know what I mean when reviewing the Joseph Smith Translation (JST), or the JST Footnotes at the bottom portions of the KJV Mormon Bible. This translation is called the “Inspired Version Bible”. Speaking of this translation, in byu.edu it reads, “Joseph Smith, the first prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, made a “new translation” of the Bible, using the text of the King James Version (KJV). This work differs from the KJV in at least 3,410 verses and consists of additions, deletions, rearrangements, and other alterations that cause it to vary not only from the KJV but from other biblical texts.” One such addition to the Bible comes in Genesis, chapter 50. In the Christian Bible, Genesis 50 ends with verse 26, of which the manuscripts and dead sea scrolls agree upon, but not in the case with Joseph Smith’s translation. He could not help but manipulate verses starting with 24 and add new verses after 26 that go until 38. These changed verses in verses 24 through 26 and the extra verses Joseph Smith added are found below…

Genesis 50:24-38 (Joseph Smith Translation)
Genesis 50:24-38 (Joseph Smith Translation)
24 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die, and go unto my fathers; and I go down to my grave with joy. The God of my father Jacob be with you, to deliver you out of affliction in the days of your bondage; for the Lord hath visited me, and I have obtained a promise of the Lord, that out of the fruit of my loins, the Lord God will raise up a righteous branch out of my loins; and unto thee, whom my father Jacob hath named Israel, a prophet; (not the Messiah who is called Shilo;) and this prophet shall deliver my people out of Egypt in the days of thy bondage.
25 And it shall come to pass that they shall be scattered again; and a branch shall be broken off, and shall be carried into a far country; nevertheless they shall be remembered in the covenants of the Lord, when the Messiah cometh; for he shall be made manifest unto them in the latter days, in the Spirit of power; and shall bring them out of darkness into light; out of hidden darkness, and out of captivity unto freedom.
26 A seer shall the Lord my God raise up, who shall be a choice seer unto the fruit of my loins.
27 Thus saith the Lord God of my fathers unto me, A choice seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins, and he shall be esteemed highly among the fruit of thy loins; and unto him will I give commandment that he shall do a work for the fruit of thy loins, his brethren.
28 And he shall bring them to the knowledge of the covenants which I have made with thy fathers; and he shall do whatsoever work I shall command him.
29 And I will make him great in mine eyes, for he shall do my work; and he shall be great like unto him whom I have said I would raise up unto you, to deliver my people, O house of Israel, out of the land of Egypt; for a seer will I raise up to deliver my people out of the land of Egypt; and he shall be called Moses. And by this name he shall know that he is of thy house; for he shall be nursed by the king’s daughter, and shall be called her son.
30 And again, a seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins, and unto him will I give power to bring forth my word unto the seed of thy loins; and not to the bringing forth of my word only, saith the Lord, but to the convincing them of my word, which shall have already gone forth among them in the last days;
31 Wherefore the fruit of thy loins shall write, and the fruit of the loins of Judah shall write; and that which shall be written by the fruit of thy loins, and also that which shall be written by the fruit of the loins of Judah, shall grow together unto the confounding of false doctrines, and laying down of contentions, and establishing peace among the fruit of thy loins, and bringing them to a knowledge of their fathers in the latter days; and also to the knowledge of my covenants, saith the Lord.
32 And out of weakness shall he be made strong, in that day when my work shall go forth among all my people, which shall restore them, who are of the house of Israel, in the last days.
33 And that seer will I bless, and they that seek to destroy him shall be confounded; for this promise I give unto you; for I will remember you from generation to generation; and his name shall be called Joseph, and it shall be after the name of his father; and he shall be like unto you; for the thing which the Lord shall bring forth by his hand shall bring my people unto salvation.
34 And the Lord sware unto Joseph that he would preserve his seed forever, saying, I will raise up Moses, and a rod shall be in his hand, and he shall gather together my people, and he shall lead them as a flock, and he shall smite the waters of the Red Sea with his rod.
35 And he shall have judgment, and shall write the word of the Lord. And he shall not speak many words, for I will write unto him my law by the finger of mine own hand. And I will make a spokesman for him, and his name shall be called Aaron.
36 And it shall be done unto thee in the last days also, even as I have sworn. Therefore, Joseph said unto his brethren, God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land, unto the land which he sware unto Abraham, and unto Isaac, and to Jacob.
37 And Joseph confirmed many other things unto his brethren, and took an oath of the children of Israel, saying unto them, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence.
38 So Joseph died when he was an hundred and ten years old; and they embalmed him, and they put him in a coffin in Egypt; and he was kept from burial by the children of Israel, that he might be carried up and laid in the sepulchre with his father. And thus they remembered the oath which they sware unto him.

In the Joseph Smith Translation, speaking of Genesis 50, verses 25, 30, 31, we see Joseph Smith speaking of not only himself but the False Book of Mormon also. More specifically, he is referring to the Book of Mormon people, which he had to write in of course. And then we have Joseph Smith speaking of himself, starting with 26, all the way to verse 33. And verse 33 is the most damning of all. For in that verse, Joseph wrote his very name, as that prophet and sear in the last days. As he wrote, you can see how only he would be given the power to bring forth this other book into the world, namely the Book of Mormon, as it reads in verses 30 and 31. Then, as 31 says, false doctrines will be confounded, along with contentions, since these two books work hand in hand together. Which is so wrong. Wow, oh wow! This is enough for Joseph Smith to deny God and His Holy Word and to say I know better. And because of what Joseph Smith did, while manipulating the Bible, he is now suffering in hell. Yes, that liar is serving his time there, while being tormented in those flames. He will be there until the day of judgment is set before him, along with every other person who finds themselves in hell. I know this since the Bible clearly says, “every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” (Proverbs 30:5,6) And “all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8)

Genesis 50:30-33 (Joseph Smith Translation)
30 And again, a seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins, and unto him will I give power to bring forth my word unto the seed of thy loins; and not to the bringing forth of my word only, saith the Lord, but to the convincing them of my word, which shall have already gone forth among them in the last days;

My friends, you cannot be a part of a church or religious organization who’s leader changed and added to the Bible. This is blasphemy to God and His holy Word. Therefore, people must come out of this false religion and unto Jesus, in order to be saved. There is a warning in the book of Revelation, chapter 22, which reads, “for I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (Revelation 22:18,19) Any person who thinks they can change the verses in the Bible or add new ones are called a “liar”. These same people God has taken away their name from the book of life. And if your name is not in the book of life, then you will be cast into the lake of fire, which burneth forever. It reads, “and death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:14,15) So this is a warning to all the people out there who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormonism). If you do not repent and resign from Mormonism, then you will be accountable for following a false prophet. So come out of this cult today and unto Jesus. He will take you in and forgive you of all your sins and false beliefs.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that every person who is a part of the Mormon Church will repent and come out of that cult, starting today. Oh how deceived they are into following false prophets. Surely, You have warned us over two thousand years ago to not be deceived into following people who say they are prophets and apostles and are not. But people have not listened and have gone their own ways into these dark paths. And I fear, God, that millions upon millions of Mormons are now suffering in hell because of what Joseph Smith did. He is such a liar, and although I am upset at what he has done to my family, I know that you are a just God and he will get exactly what is coming to him. I can’t believe that I was deceived for 33 years of my life into believing that Mormonism was true. And now most of my family are still under the deceptions therein. They cannot see the destruction that comes before them, but I can. You have given me eyes to see and ears to hear You. Therefore, I can see that this false prophet is leading as many people to hell with him. And it was Satan’s plan, in the beginning, to lead away people captive into following a false gospel, which appears good in their own sight. This makes me so mad, God, that people I know and love are under Satan’s deception, even now. I wish I could come to each of my brothers and sisters, and their families, and tell them the truth. That only You, Jesus, can save us. Not a religion, or our works, but only what You did for us on the cross can wash us clean. I believe in You, Jesus. Please give me opportunities to speak to my family and others who are lost. I wish to lead them to You before it is too late. I love You. Amen.

  1. hummm he didn’t have to insert himself in, he’s already there.

    Isa 54, The Lord tells Israel that she has been treated like a wife forsaken but he will remember her;

    7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.… And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children. In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.
    16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work;

    That smith was Joseph Smith, his instrument is the Book of Mormon and the gathering has begun.

    • So you are just fine with Joseph Smith adding his own verses to the Bible? Proverbs 30:5-6 (KJV)
      5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
      6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
      Revelation 22:18,19 (KJV)
      18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
      19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

      • Silly Paul, that Revelation passage is definitely just talking about the book of Revelation – the book of that prophecy. Not sure why you quoted Proverbs, that doesn’t add anything to your argument. Also… there are so many different versions of the Bible out there, many of which add several words not found in the original texts. That’s what you get with translations, man
