“I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.” (Psalm 34:1-6)
Mormons come to many homes and share their message, but when we want to talk to them about the Bible they get upset and bolt. They start hearing the truth of God, and it causes them to want to bear their testimony as fast as they can, in order to get out of there. What does this show for these types of people? It shows their fear for anything being true outside their own religion. They have already determined in their mind what is from God. So when we come and say anything differently, their hearts are closed to our message of hope. These people come with a heart that is full of debate, instead of accepting what God has said in His Word, the Bible. God has called us to be meek and humble, just like children accepting what their parents have to say, when it comes to Him and what is written in His Word. The LDS people proclaim that they believe in the one true God, but when asking about what He has said in scripture they don’t have an ear to hear.
So what is most important to the Mormon people? Is it God and what He has spoken in the Bible? Absolutely not. It is their so-called prophets. They hold to what they say over what the Bible teaches. These false prophets are even telling their loyal followers that their teachings are modern day revelation. Which is false. How their teachings are even more important than what the Bible says. These false apostles tell people that the Bible is true as far as it is translated correctly. So if we bring up different things in the Bible, they say that plain and precious parts were lost that would refute what we are showing them. Others say that what we have been taught comes from a church falling away into apostasy. Therefore, we lack the Holy Spirit to see the truth in the Bible. And so they tell people that you must be baptized in their One True Church in order to be saved and receive the Holy Ghost. And so we have people trusting in their leaders over God. Surely, this blind faith is leading millions of people on the path of destruction. If only they knew Jesus. Amen.
The cost is great to leave the CJCLDS. Those who leave risk alienating family and friends. They could also lose their job. The Church is also a place of fellowship and fun. The cost is even greater if heaven is missed. No wonder they don’t want to hear what the Bible has to say. I don’t envy them.
