It was in 1998, that the Mormon Prophet, Gordon B Hinckley, admitted to believing in a different Jesus than in Christianity. This is that quote, “In bearing testimony of Jesus Christ, President Hinckley spoke of those outside the Church who say Latter-day Saints ‘do not believe in the traditional Christ.’ ‘No, I don’t. The traditional Christ of whom they speak is not the Christ of whom I speak. For the Christ of whom I speak has been revealed in this the Dispensation of the Fullness of Times. He together with His Father, appeared to the boy Joseph Smith in the year 1820, and when Joseph left the grove that day, he knew more of the nature of God than all the learned ministers of the gospel of the ages.’” (LDS Church News Week ending June 20, 1998, p. 7) This is a big deal when it comes to an organization that claims to be Christ’s one true church. So what can we get out of this statement from the Mormon Prophet? That the LDS church teaches and believes in a different Jesus than that of the Bible, in order to fit their beliefs. We will cover what they have made up about Jesus next. Mormons really need to pay close attention to what their prophet said in the above statement, for it is damning.
Speaking of anyone who says they believe in a different Jesus than in Christianity, these are false teachers, which should cause anyone to resign from a cult like this. Paul even said, “for if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” (2 Corinthians 11:4) Even in his timeframe there were people deceiving others into believing in a different Jesus. So what would the Mormon prophet be meaning by his statement above? It means that the Jesus in Mormonism is the brother of Lucifer, became a God like His Father, is a created being, his Father has a body of flesh and bones, He atoned for our sins in the garden, and did not create all things. As you can see, this Jesus is not the same Jesus of the Bible. Jesus is the creator of all things heaven and earth, including Lucifer. He has always been God, like His Father. His Father is Spirit and Jesus atoned for our sins on the cross. Ask any Mormon and they will admit that what I just said about their Jesus is correct. Therefore, these people simply bear with what is false, instead of running from it. Amen.
Mormons do not like to admit that they believe that Jesus was born to God and one of his wives; that he is brother to Satan; that he was conceived by the Father through natural means just like you and I instead of ‘conceived by the Holy Ghost’ as the Bible states. They also don’t like to admit that JS taught that God was once a man who became a god. It’s all recorded in their documents and supplementary books though.
