We can learn a lot about the corruption of the Mormon church based on the first 9 verses in Leviticus, chapter 8. They claim that their temples are God’s tabernacle on earth. In that place, people receive washings and anointings. While in these so-called temples, people also wear special underwear called garments, of which during the endowment ceremony they put on special clothing like unto a robe with a green apron. Their first prophet Joseph Smith, who is also a false prophet, claimed to translate the Book of Mormon with the Urim and the Thummim. How convenient, right? The Book of Mormon was also supposedly made up of golden plates, of which Joseph Smith was able to run with. Oh, really? Those in the Mormon church know all this to be true, but did you know that what I just mentioned is a rip-off of what took place in the old covenant during the times of the laws of Moses and not during the new covenant? So you will see that people in this cult are built upon the practices of the old covenant, not the church Jesus established. See for yourself in the verses and the words in bold below…
“And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and a bullock for the sin offering, and two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread; And gather thou all the congregation together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And Moses did as the Lord commanded him; and the assembly was gathered together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And Moses said unto the congregation, This is the thing which the Lord commanded to be done. And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water. And he put upon him the coat, and girded him with the girdle, and clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him, and he girded him with the curious girdle of the ephod, and bound it unto him therewith. And he put the breastplate upon him: also he put in the breastplate the Urim and the Thummim. And he put the mitre upon his head; also upon the mitre, even upon his forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the Lord commanded Moses.” (Leviticus 8:1-9)
The proof is in the verses that I just mentioned that this false religion called, “the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints”, is simply good at cherry-picking verses to fit their beliefs. Notice that right after we read about the Urim and the Thummim that the golden plate is mentioned. How convenient this would have been for Joseph Smith to also see and use in his story of when he translated the book of Mormon. Then, when Joseph and other false prophets in their church began to build their temples it was very convenient for them to pull different things from the book of Leviticus and use them in their temples. Now, there is a saying that goes, “just because a person slaps God’s name on a building, it doesn’t mean that God approves of it.” Another saying goes, “just because people try to copy different practices in the Bible, it doesn’t mean that God is happy or involved in any of it”. And so we have Mormons who wear their special underwear called garments, which they think protects them. This is very sad, my friends. One day every Mormon will find out that their church was false, either in this life or the next. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that You will give people wisdom when it comes to knowing who Your true followers are and who are not. We got many false prophets and teachers in the world we live in and we need Your continued guidance and direction to not get sucked into any of these so-called churches/cults. Help us to not fall victim to their beliefs, teachings, and evil schemes from the enemy. Not only do I wish to not go astray because of false witnesses, but to also not lead my wife and kids down the same dark road I would be on. I was already part of a cult for most of my life in Mormonism and I never wish to get caught up in false teachings like there’s again. You have saved my soul from destruction and placed me on a path that leads to heaven. I may not have it all together, but You are the one that picks me up each day that I might continue to fight the good fight for You, Jesus. It is my prayer that You will also lead many more souls out of the Mormon religion. I know that this is very difficult for us to do, but with You leading us, we can witness with power and great authority. Then, will they come out of it for You. Lord, I love You and wish to see more souls be saved and go to heaven. I trust in You above all else. Amen.
