Humble yourself like unto a child and ask God to help you understand His ways. Then You will learn what is true from His Word and begin removing what is false from your belief system. Only by doing this, you will be able to talk of God’s wonderful works and not proclaim things that are untrue. Do you long to know God and His truth alone? If so, testing people’s words and even your own opinions with scripture will be what matters. As for me, I need God’s strength to be happy, and where to go in this life. I need help to stay true to His words, lest I be found lying to people. Just know that God’s laws are holy, I respect Him by obeying them. David wrote, “make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works. My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word. Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.” (Psalm 119:27-29)
Choose the way of truth, which is through Jesus Christ our Lord. Turn away from different paths that are religious on the outside, but are filled with teachings that are extra-Biblical and man-made. False religions and cults are everywhere. Therefore, don’t believe everything people tell you but test what they say in the Bible to see if it is of God or man. Lay down what is false and cling to what is true. God’s ways have become my ways. Therefore, to teach the words of the Lord and His commandments is the least I can do. God gives me the words to speak. Lastly, David said, “I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me. I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame. I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.” (Psalm 119:30-32) If God is not a part of your life then get right with Him today! May the Holy Spirit become your teacher. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, this world is wicked and full of false opinions and false doctrines. Allowing You to be our teacher appears to be a thing of the past, but letting people be our guide is the in thing with these false religions. If only they would put their trust in You and not people, then there would be more churches teaching Your truth. God, I love Your ways. The Bible is near and dear to my heart, for it contains Your wisdom and not man’s own opinions. If only people would test what they know to be true with what the Bible says. God, Thank You for leading me out of a cult where I followed prophets and not You. It was all about how people felt that kept them believing in what they did. Thankfully, my heart was not set in stone on what is true and what is false. There was still some wiggle room in order to allow You into my life. Thank You Jesus for finding me and leading me on Your path that saves. I love You, Lord. Amen.
