Is following Jesus worth leaving behind a false belief/religion? Many of you are already on the right path which is Christ the Lord and I am grateful. However, others follow a faith that is dead. I bring this to your attention since I once followed false doctrines of the Mormon faith and never felt close to God. Though I was born and raised in it, over time I knew in my heart it wasn’t of God. The Bible plainly taught me I was following a false Christ. I wasn’t to add to the Bible and that was what I was reading in the “Book of Mormon”. After discovering the truthfulness of God through the Bible and prayer I had a decision to make. I knew that if I left the Mormon Church that I would eventually lose friendships with people. I knew I’d receive much flack for sharing the truths I’ve come to know. However, it was better for me to follow Jesus than to feel accepted with the family. Jesus is the reason I proclaim His gospel. It comes easy now to proclaim Him to the world. He has given me a heart to reach the lost. I love Him with all my heart and soul. I’d do anything for Him. For Jesus I surrender all.
Matthew 19:29-30 (KJV)
29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
