Beware of false prophets. In times past, there was a man named Joseph Smith, a man who started up the Mormon Church. He was their first prophet. One of his crimes against God was that he added to and took away from the Book of Revelation. I will lay down evidence of this crime, while comparing Revelation, chapter 5, verse 6. If you compare the verse in Revelation 5, you can see there is a huge difference. See below…
1Revelation 5:6 (KJV)
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
2Revelation 5:6 (Joseph Smith Translation or JST)
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having twelve horns and twelve eyes, which are the twelve servants of God, sent forth into all the earth
Comparing the two translations, 1seven was removed and 2twelve was replaced. Also, seven 1Spirits of God was removed and 2twelve servants was replaced. Twelve was added in the JST translation to mean the twelve apostles. 4This warning of getting our name blotted out of the book of life now applies to Joseph Smith. Since he changed the book of Revelation’s words, in order to conform to the doctrines of his church, then God has removed his name from the book of life. 3Anyone not in the book of life has his place in the lake of fire. This automatically qualifies Joseph Smith as a false prophet. Because the Mormon Church was founded by Joseph Smith, it means that their church is also false and God’s wrath is upon them. Anyone proclaiming to be a prophet that modifies or adds to the Bible is a false prophet and their church is of the devil. Beware of false prophets and churches, lest you be deceived.
3Revelation 20:12-15 (KJV)
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
4Revelation 22:18-19 (KJV)
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
If this doesn’t convince LDS that JS is a false prophet, nothing will, which I expect to be the case. Mormonism stands or falls on JS. They can’t deny that he’s a prophet of God. But, maybe there’s someone out there that has begun questioning LDS doctrines and this will give them the information they need to leave.
