Chapter 6 (JSCB)

"And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see." (Revelation 6:1 – KJV)

Notable changes to Revelation 6:1:
• KJV: "the Lamb" initiates the action of opening the seal. It is written, "and I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals."
• JST: "the Lamb" is mentioned as a separate detail from the opening of the seal. It is written, "and I saw, when the Lamb opened one of the seals, one of the four beasts."
• KJV: One of the beasts speaks with thunder and says "Come and see".
• JST: The phrase "Come and see'" could be attributed to the noise of thunder instead of one of the beasts.

The King James Version (KJV) of Revelation 6:1 describes the opening of the first seal. The Lamb of God accomplished this. We also hear about the sound of thunder, and one of the four beasts speaking. They say, "come and see." This imagery suggests that one of the four beasts represents a person high up in God's ranks. How he is commissioned to announce the unfolding of the events associated with the opening of the seals. The Joseph Smith Translation (JST), however, removes the fact that one of the four beasts was speaking. Instead, something speaks with the voice of thunder, "Come and see." We don't get the description of this person like we do in the KJV version. Where we know the individual is one of the four beasts.

The verse in the JST is very confusing and problematic. Why would Joseph Smith remove the distinction of the person who said, "Come and see"? This is very significant. When removed, people have to wonder who this person really was, while doubting the Biblical text. This is sad, seeing that all the word-for-word translations agree that one of the beasts was speaking. I challenge any Mormon to find a translation like this where one of the beasts is not speaking. This issue is significant, as it changes the whole story line. That is why the JST must be rejected. If we believe that the Bible has been preserved, then we will also discard any man-made translation. This includes the Joseph Smith Translation.

"And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places." (Revelation 6:14 – KJV)

"And the heavens opened as a scroll is opened when it is rolled together. And every mountain and island was moved out of its place." (Revelation 6:14 – JST)

Notable changes to Revelation 6:14:
• KJV: Describes heaven departing "as a scroll when it is rolled together."
• JST: Describes how the heavens opened "as a scroll is opened when it is rolled together."
• KJV: Mountains and Islands were moved out of their places. "Places" is plural. It is written, "every mountain and island were moved out of their places."
• JST: Mountains and Islands were moved out of its place. "Place" is a singular noun. It is written, "every mountain and island was moved out of its place."

The King James Version (KJV) of Revelation 6:14 describes the departure of the heavens. It is described "as a scroll when it is rolled together." This imagery suggests a dramatic and cataclysmic event. We see the heavens rolled up like a scroll and disappear from view. The Joseph Smith Translation (JST) changes the description of the heavens from "departing" to "opening." This alteration suggests a more active and dramatic event. It is as if the heavens are being forcefully rolled open to reveal what lies beyond. The JST also clarifies that the heavens open in the same way that a scroll is unrolled. This emphasizes the unfolding of a divine plan or revelation. Unfortunately, it missed the mark, while adding these extra details. It does nothing but cause confusion in the story line of the book of prophecy in Revelation.

The problem with the JST is that it changed what was already written down in the KJV. For example, the word “heaven” was changed to “heavens.” This is significant, as there can either be "heaven" or "heavens" out there. There can't be both. The phrase “heaven departed as a scroll” was changed to “heavens opened as a scroll is opened.” We get a glimpse of heaven departing and rolling up like a scroll. It is first seen opening before being rolled up together. This doesn't make sense at all, as heaven was already open, being soon rolled up and brought to an end. This is before there is a new heaven and earth as we read in Revelation 21. Lastly, the phrase “moved out of their places” was changed to “moved out of its place.” Looking at "places", this means many different locations. A place is one location, not many. Please note that ‘heavens’ refers to the stars, planets, and all above our earth. Where ‘Heaven” is a definite place that God lives. Therefore, these changes are significant.

"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you." (1 Peter 1:23-25)

In the teachings of the Apostle Peter, it is emphasized that the Word of God is alive and active. The enduring nature of the Lord's words is highlighted, as they have been preserved for centuries by God. It is a grave mistake to tamper with the Bible, as this invites divine judgment. Unfortunately, there have been instances where individuals have attempted to alter the Word of God for their own purposes. Such is the case with Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism. It is crucial to recognize that Joseph Smith was a false prophet, led astray by Satan himself. The devil is pleased with the spread of false teachings by missionaries, teachers, and prophets in Mormonism. If only they would repent of their false beliefs, the Lord would forgive them.

The extent of Joseph Smith's deception is evident in his creation of the Joseph Smith Translation (JST). This is when he altered over 3400 verses in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible. This includes significant changes to various verses in the Book of Revelation. Creating a new translation and claiming it as his own shows how deceptive he really was. The consequences of Joseph Smith's actions are severe, as revealed in Revelation, chapter 22. Adding to and taking away from the Book of Revelation, means Joseph Smith is suffering in hell. He may be wondering why, but this will all be revealed come the Great White Throne Judgment Seat. How he suffered because his name is not found in the Lamb's book of life. There will be much fear and trembling as he comes before God. Unfortunately, there are no second chances come death, and his life is already judged and found guilty.

As for the fate of those who follow false prophets, and engage in evil acts, the consequences are equally severe. Hell awaits willful sinners, where they will experience pain, fear, and sorrow. They will stand before Jesus at the Great White Throne Judgment and kneel before Him, knowing that their just punishments are coming from Him. They will find out that their names are not found in the Lamb's book of life, and they will never enter New Jerusalem. Instead, they will be sent off to the lake of fire, where they will experience a second death. These people will suffer greatly, and their sorrow that will continue for all eternity.

In the case of Joseph Smith, he added to and removed from the Book of Revelation. This is why he is currently in hell. The Bible teaches that there are no second chances after death, and his name has been removed from the Lamb's book of life. The false doctrines of baptism for the dead, which Mormons believe in, do nothing to change this fact. Instead, they only invite the God's wrath upon those who attempt to play God and think they can save dead people. It is a tragic fate for those who follow false prophets and engage in heretical teachings. It serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to the true Word of God, instead of man-made damnable teachings. Amen.
