Book Of Mormon Plagiarism: 3 Nephi 12:29,30

When it comes to the Book of Mormon, it contains so many contradictions and also plagiarism when it comes to the Bible.   You can see this when you compare Matthew, chapter 5, with 3 Nephi, chapter 12.  These two chapters look as if they are identical, and only if you take a deeper look at them will you see that Nephi has many verses removed from Matthew.  Below you will see verses 29 and 30 in Matthew that have been removed entirely.  It is written, “27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut if off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement.” (Matthew 5:27-31)  So we are to remove things from our lives that offend the temple of God in us.  Things pertaining to lust and willful sins that our eyes and hands are involved with.

So let’s now see what happened to verses 29 and 30 in Matthew, chapter 5, when it comes to 3 Nephi, chapter 12.  As you will read below, the verses have been replaced with a statement that doesn’t even make sense, let alone contradictory to what was already said by Jesus.  See for yourself below.  It is written, “27 Behold, it is written by them of old time, that thou shalt not commit adultery; 28 But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman, to lust after her, hath committed adultery already in his heart. 29 Behold, I give unto you a commandment, that ye suffer none of these things to enter into your heart; 30 For it is better that ye should deny yourselves of these things, wherein ye will take up your cross, than that ye should be cast into hell. 31 It hath been written, that whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement.” (3 Nephi 12:27-31)  Because Mormons don’t understand the need to remove things from our lives, lest we go to hell, Joseph Smith decided to remove the verses altogether. This I where he spoke for Jesus in Nephi and said, “suffer none of these things to enter into your heart”. Does this mean to not let what Jesus to penetrate there hearts or to not have lust in their heart? This is an addition to scripture, which the Bible is against. False prophets think they can change the Bible, which is wrong. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray for every Mormon out there. My hope is that they know how much I love them and that is why I reach out to them on a daily basis. Not that I think any better of myself than them, but that I have found You, Jesus, and know what they need to do to be saved. How these people need to deny themselves, which means giving up any false beliefs, for Your sake. It doesn’t have to be such a terrible thing to see that we have lived a lie and repent. I am grateful to have been shown this from You, God. If I had not been shown then I would wonder why I have been left of those who are saved. I would wonder why You didn’t love me to show me the right path to walk on. But You are a good good Father. I am just one out of a billion individuals, but still, You love and care for me like You do others. I wish that people could see You like You have shown Yourself to me. How You are not a mean God who wants to see people suffer in hell when they die, that You want to save the least of them. If people would just receive Christ, heaven would be opened to them too. I was once an adulterer, fornicator, and a man full of lust, but You have changed me, God. I once believed in a God that fit my beliefs, but You have shown me what the true God is really like. Thank You, Jesus. I love You, Lord. I give You honor and praise, for You deserve it. Amen.
