The things that come out of oral traditions, beliefs or doctrines of men, do nothing good for our soul and our standing with God. If these things go against God’s Word or adds to it, then we are being led on the wrong path. And this happens because certain church leaders have come together over time and made up rules, beliefs and doctrines without checking them first with the Bible. If they had based them off of scripture and read things in context with the Bible chapter, the Holy Spirit would have confirmed it. Then, their heart would have been in the right place from the beginning. However, these checks are not happening as often as they should, and therefore people have said that their church’s new revelations from God trumps what the Bible says. So the churches prophet, pope or leader is then able to teach whatever they want to and it will become doctrine for that church. To these corrupt individuals, I ask the same question that Jesus did to the pharisees. 1“why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?” (Matthew 15:3) Do you not realize what you are doing to God’s Word, when you teach things that either go against it or add to it? Unless it is based on scripture, and the Holy Spirit confirms it, then it is making a mockery of God and His laws. Jesus also said to such people, “ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Matthew 15:6-9)
With every belief that we stand on, we need to always check them out with the Bible in hand, just to make sure they are sound. Otherwise, if we are found teaching things that God’s Word says nothing about or is against, we are actually hypocrites to God, teaching one way, but the opposite of what God’s Word really says. Sure, when beliefs are tested, some people will get offended and get angry with you, and this is a good thing. The same thing happened to the pharisees, when Jesus taught them about their traditions and doctrines of men. This was made known by Jesus’s disciples, when they told him, 1“knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?” (Matthew 15:12) Please know that it is necessary to teach the truth to those in the wrong, even if they feel offended. They ought to be cut to the heart and repent, if they are doing what is evil against God. Even such people that teach things that are pleasing to others in their faith or church congregation, but not to God, He will eventually call them out and cast them out of His presence forever. As Jesus said, 1“every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” (Matthew 15:13,14) It is sad to know that there are church leaders like this, that are truly blind to God’s Word, but continue to teach in their ways anyways. And if you want to know why these false churches arise, along with their false doctrines, it is because they were spoon fed something and it stuck with them. These beliefs are now deeply rooted in their heart and it is hard to get rid of.
In speaking of things that come out of a person’s heart and not God’s will for our lives, are always counterproductive to the Lord. They can cause a person to become corrupt and do some pretty terrible things to themselves and others. This is because the lusts of the flesh and their own desires have come before God. Jesus described these awful things in detail here. 1“Those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man.” (Matthew 15:18-20) In these verses the Lord mentioned many different things that will keep a person from eventually following Him and being saved, unless they repent. And when it comes to these false church leaders, they often have attributes of what was described here. Because their thoughts are not in the right place with God, they proceed with teaching what they belief is right, but is wrong in the sight of God. They may have anger problems, especially when stopped and asked about why they taught something. Secretly, they could be romantically involved with a woman or even looking at pornography. And their tithes are not of God, for God does not approve of this church. Therefore, they are robbing the people of their money. Coming to people and telling them that they have the truth and no other is false. This belief system comes from Satan and makes them a false witness to God, but a true witness for the devil. Every day that false teachers walk in defilement to what God’s Word says, they are storing up the wrath of God upon themselves.
When people continue to teach the doctrines of men, while being blind to God’s Word, they are blaspheming God. Therefore, a church like 1“The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints”, of which they like to be called now, or Mormons, are on this list of cults. They may look good on the outside, but inwardly they are corrupt and filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness. They pretend to know the ways of the Lord, but teach an entirely new gospel that the Bible does not support. These core teachings include the need of latter day prophets, priesthood authority to minister in the church, becoming a God when they die, being eternally married in heaven, baptisms for the dead, temples and what takes place there. These things and others are not founded on the Bible, and especially in the New Testament church. However, they are based on what their prophets and their other books have said, of which they call scripture. What I mentioned here are only a few things that they teach contrary to the Bible. Do they not realize that their teachings are really corrupting people’s minds and hardening their hearts to the truth? So, as Jesus said to the Pharisees, I also call them out as hypocrites and plead for every person in this faith to repent and come to Jesus. Only by putting aside their beliefs and stop reading their books, but only the Bible and prayer, will they be helped. Jesus can open their eyes to the truth, but they must let Him in first. If you are a part of this church, then I ask that you really think about what was taught here. Don’t squander your time, but give it to God, starting today. Tell Him that His ways are more important. Once you turn to Him, then everything will change for the better. You will be placed on the right path, which leads to heaven. God bless you.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people in every false religion will wake up to know Your truth of the Bible, and one day repent before it is too late. There is more than what they have been taught, and it all starts when they begin to read the Bible like a little child. If people can put their beliefs aside for just one moment and humbly come unto You in prayer, they can be taught. While abiding in You, the Holy Spirit will come down upon them and teach the person, who is seeking You. As they read the Bible, Your truth will come to light and be made manifest to them plainly. No longer will there be blind people leading the blind, but people that can truly see, while teaching the truth of Your gospel message. This is when life begins, as evangelists, teachers, and preachers, that are in the faith, are not afraid of what the Bible teaches, and seek to lead people to You through it. Then, will the doctrines of men become manifest, especially when people’s beliefs are brought up and they are found contrary to Your words. For surely our conversations with other people should be used to teach what is truth and also preach against what is false. Lord, I am so grateful that You confirmed to me, while reading the Bible, that the Mormon Church is false. I could never have known this if the Holy Spirit had not confirmed this truth to my heart. And when that happened, all the beliefs in that church started crumbling down before my eyes. One by one, did You show me the truth of the matter and the false teachings of men. Truly, their doctrines are wicked and cannot stand up against the Bible. Your words will always prevail, for You are my God and I trust in what You say. I love You. Amen.
Let us read the Bible:

1Matthew 15:1-20 (KJV)
1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
15 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
Thank you for all the work you have gone through and for adding to the lists of things as more comes to mind or comes up. One thing that should be added perhaps to the BOM differences between the Bible is the creation story.. The BOM teaches one that glorifies sinful man and makes God weak and sadistic as he somehow needed them to sin to procreate… 🙁
