The Lord surely did some amazing things that I will never forget this day. To God be praised. His mighty hand was manifested through each of us. This trip to Utah was something I had dreamed about for a while and finally it happened. My heart longs to bring the truth of God to everyone that is lost, including Mormons. As I was once Mormon, I know how dark that religion really is. My heart brakes to see these people be deceived in following another gospel of Jesus Christ. For this reason, God led a group of 5 of us to Temple Square, in Salt Lake City, to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and His love for them. Throughout this day, we lifted up the Name of Jesus to everyone we could on Temple Square. As we walked past people we’d proclaim that God is good. That Jesus is worthy to be praised. That Jesus loves them. We even walked into the temple and talked with a man in a white robe about Jesus. In the waiting room, we saw this picture on the wall with Jesus and Mary at the Lord’s resurrection. This picture jump started a discussion about the gospel of Jesus Christ. We shared with Him that the true gospel is about the cross and the resurrection. On the cross, Jesus died for our sins. Then, on the third day, He was raised from the dead. Jesus paid the price for our transgressions because of His great love for us. Because of this love, we can be saved if we believe in Him. Through the resurrection, there is new life in Christ. It was very encouraging to speak to this man and to share with Him our love for Jesus. I pray that the seeds that were planted in his heart may grow up strong.
After this discussion, we walked near the Conference Center and met a homeless women that just lost her son. She was quite devastated. In these moments of grief I went and sat by her and just listened for a while, while she talked. As she grieved for the loss of her son we grieved with her. My heart broke for her in that hour. We asked if her son believed in Jesus and she said yes. This was very encouraging, since her son loved Jesus before his death. We thanked God that he is in a better place now, in heaven. Before leaving her we prayed that she would be comforted. That she would be able to get back on her feet soon and grow from this experience. That God would make her even stronger to walk with Him. After talking with her we continued to walk towards the Conference Center. As we entered the doors this man said he’d show us around. During the tour we asked questions about the Mormon faith, which he didn’t know the answers to. We explained that the veil of the temple was rent in two after Jesus was crucified and everyone could then enter it but that no one but worthy Mormons could enter their temple. How God changed his mind on polygamy even though He was once for it. 1Why God would allow them to believe another gospel when God’s truth is in the Bible. After he showed us around the Conference Center, I had this great desire to pray with Him. Kevin and I prayed that the Spirit would convict His heart to follow Jesus. We prayed that His heart would be opened to the truth of God in the Bible. The Spirit was so strong. The presence of God was all around us. Seeds were surely planted in this man’s heart, this day.
As we walked back towards Temple Square again we ended up seeing a lonely man at the entrance. I could feel the Spirit telling us to talk with Him. So we did just that and found out that he was very depressed. He said that all he wanted was someone to say hi to him but everybody, throughout the day, walked past him and said nothing. He said he was very close to putting a bullet in His head until we talked with him. While with Him we taught on God loves for Him and all of mankind. That Jesus died for each of us that we could be saved. That we also love and care deeply for his well-being. He was very encouraged by our love towards Him. You should have seen him. He was grinning from ear to ear. Even on our way out, back to our car, he saw us and ran to shake my hand to say thank you. There were other experiences that day, including a young woman, sitting on a bench on Temple Square. The Spirit said to pray with her so we went to ask her if we could pray and she said yes. She was amazed that someone would actually want to do this. So the three of us prayed. We each prayed for each other’s needs. Much love was shown for each other through God.
Let us pray:
Thank You Lord for using us this day. This was a day I will never forget. You led us to do many great things including sharing the gospel, encouraging others to follow You and pray for our neighbor. You did all this through us. Many seeds were planted in the hearts of people. I pray that You may nourish these seeds that they may grow. I love You Lord. I praise Your Holy Name. Amen.
Let us read the Bible:

1Galatians 1:3-11 (KJV)
3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
