Mormon Prophets Used The Term “Mormon”

Here’s another Mormon headscratcher:  Joseph Smith declared that “Mormon” means “more good” (!) in a letter he wrote in 1843, which was published in the Latter-day Saint newspaper Times and Seasons. (Smith combined the English word “more” with the supposed Egyptian word “mon,” which he claimed meant “good.”)

Every Mormon prophet until Russell M. Nelson proudly proclaimed they were Mormons. They even launched an advertising compaign in 2010 called “We are the Mormons!” So, were all the previous Mormon prophets (who they claim will never lead you astray) misled by using the label “Mormon?”
