The Book Of Mormon Calls Christians Fools

Joseph Smith made a claim that the Book of Mormon is the most correct book on earth and from God. However, would an inspired book call Christians “fools”? Absolutely, not. But this is what we see in his book. Believers in Christ, who hold to the Bible alone for truth, are called “fools”. This is not according to God’s Word, the Bible, but the Book of Mormon. So is this book, “scripture”?  No. It cannot be trusted.  See below for details…

The Book of Mormon reads, “and because my words shall hiss forth—many of the Gentiles shall say: A Bible! A Bible! We have got a Bible, and there cannot be any more Bible. But thus saith the Lord God: O fools, they shall have a Bible; and it shall proceed forth from the Jews, mine ancient covenant people. And what thank they the Jews for the Bible which they receive from them? Yea, what do the Gentiles mean? Do they remember the travails, and the labors, and the pains of the Jews, and their diligence unto me, in bringing forth salvation unto the Gentiles? O ye Gentiles, have ye remembered the Jews, mine ancient covenant people? Nay; but ye have cursed them, and have hated them, and have not sought to recover them. But behold, I will return all these things upon your own heads; for I the Lord have not forgotten my people. Thou fool, that shall say: A Bible, we have got a Bible, and we need no more Bible. Have ye obtained a Bible save it were by the Jews?” (2 Nephi 29:3-6)

However, the true Jesus of the Bible proves that statement false. Calling people “fools” puts a person in danger of hell fire.  I didn’t say that but God alone. Jesus said, “but I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.” (Matthew 5:22)

So the next time you talk to a Mormon, bring up this verse in 2 Nephi 29:6. Ask them if they believe the verse is true, and if you are a fool for believing in the Bible alone for the truth of God. If they say, “yes”, then read the verse above in Matthew 5:22. See what their reaction is. What LDS people don’t realize is this. This Book of Mormon chapter is damning people to hell. How so? Each year, Mormons read the Book of Mormon again, and what chapter comes up? This one in 2 Nephi 29. So again, they begin to think that Christians are fools for believing in the Bible alone. At the same time, they are in danger of hell fire, per Jesus. Please think about this! Amen.

  1. I think an interesting dilemma is this:
They want to be called ‘Christians’ even though JS said God told him our churches were an abomination.
