Tremble Before God, Ye Sinners

“My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments. I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors. Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.” (Psalm 119:120-122)

In this lost generation, the desire to call upon God is less and less. It is like people struggle to find any desire to pray, let alone tremble before the Lord. Instead of coming to Jesus while they are in sin, they mask it as best as possible. Nothing is confessed, as it would cause people to change their wicked ways. People are not interested in that. Instead, people continue their wayward lifestyle as if nobody cares anyway. But there is one person that does care and that is God. You see, He can see everything we do in this life and when we go after things that lead to destruction, He is not happy with us. God’s wrath falls upon those who were once faithful but are now influenced by desires such as lust, covetousness, greed, and pride. It makes me wonder why people are not afraid of God’s judgments. Do they really think that God won’t care that they were willful sinners in this life? It is a lie from Satan to make people think that they will have another chance to be saved in the afterlife. That Mormons can just baptize on behalf of you and you can enter heaven. Or Catholics can pray your way out of purgatory and you can enter heaven. I am sorry to say this, but it doesn’t work out this way. There are no second chances after we die.

“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:5-8)

So who are those who are condemned to the lake of fire? These are those who are willful sinners. I am talking about unrepentant sinners that were practicing homosexuals, porn watchers, fornicators, and adulterers. These are the sexual immoral people. But this list also includes those who praise and worship Mary, the saints, Joseph Smith, sports athletes, music artists, actors, and more. I am also talking about people who claim to be Gods now or become Gods in the future. This is all idolatry and will also get people sent to the lake of fire. The list goes on with people who say they are religious but disagree with the central teachings of Christianity and create their own beliefs using other books. Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, and other cults are in this group of unbelievers. Yes, you heard that right. Atheists are unbelievers, but so are people that deny God and what the Bible teaches. The list in Revelation 21 is much longer, so read what it includes also, that you may not be found on this list of evildoers. But here is the good news. Jesus is a good God. He died for our sins on the cross, so whoever would receive Him as Lord, shall be saved. This means denying yourself and what you think you know, and following Him. God will then lead you to eternal life in heaven. We are changed and no longer conformed to the world, but live for Him instead. Jesus is our Savior. So put your trust in the Lord. Amen.
