In Revelation 12:11, the phrase, “but kept the testimony”, was added right into the verse without even thinking in the Joseph Smith Translation (JST). You know why Joseph added this, right? It is because Mormons are told that if they do not keep the testimony they have of the ‘Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints”, they will be sentenced to outer darkness in the next life. This is their scared tactic, which actually works for the majority of the people in the LDS cult. They are told from a young age that there are only two churches, the church of God (their church) and the church of Satan (all other churches). How arrogant is that? It is their false prophets that teach these lies to the church at large. This is why the few people who leave the Mormon church never seek out a good Bible-believing church and become atheists. This is because they still have it stuck in the back of their mind that these churches are not of God, and if Mormonism is wrong, then nothing is right for them. You see how mind control in a cult can really kill the chances of someone being saved? Now, as for the changes in Revelation 12:11, see below for details…
Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Revelation 12:11 (Joseph Smith Translation)
11. “For they have overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their own lives but kept the testimony even unto death.
When it comes to the Mormon church, there are statues erected for the sake of Joseph Smith. He is looked to like a God in Mormonism. These people even sing songs of praise to Joseph called, “Praise To The Man”. They see no harm or foul in doing such things. They also celebrate this dead man’s birthday, which is highly strange. It is told that Joseph is waiting for them in the next life, where he will allow them into heaven. Brigham Young said the following in regards to this. “No man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of God without the consent of Joseph Smith.” (Joseph Smith: Legacy of a Prophet – Robert L. Miller – 1994) This is total heresy, although Mormons believe that Joseph will attain Godhood, so it is right for him to do this. Blasphemy. What they don’t realize is that Joseph Smith was a false prophet, not a person favored of God. Through him, millions of souls have been deceived. One reason is because Joseph Smith changed the King James Version Bible (KJV) with the JST. And because he changed the book of Revelation, his name is removed from the book of life and the lake of fire comes next. See below for details…
“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (Revelation 22:18-19)
“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:12-15)
How brazen can one person be to change God’s Word?
