The truth is very evident sometimes. Truly, people and churches show their true colors not just during their services, but during different times of the year. Halloween, for instance, we still have churches doing trunk or treat in their parking lot, with people dressed up the same way they would be on Halloween while decorating their vehicles and parking lots the same way as those in the world. We also have Christmas, where it is now ok to have Santa come in the church. There they have kids sit on his lap and tell him what they want for Christmas. This is evil, for it leads people to believe in something that isn’t real while pointing them further from Jesus. Now, this makes sense when you scramble the letters in Santa. For you get the word, Satan. Isn’t that a coincidence. So again, we have churches conforming to the same thinking of this world and going away from God. And we have Easter, where there are Easter egg hunts in the back of church’s, parking lots, or people’s homes. And here we see people deviating from truth, in order to have a little fun, while also telling a lot of lies to their children. What do we see here? We see people that appear religious on the outside but are really acting like anyone else in the world. And although in their church service, Jesus’s birth is taught on Christmas, while the Resurrection is taught on Easter, it doesn’t make up for what they do outside of service. If we say that our church is correct and doing what God says, then they should not have another foot in the world.
Anybody who teaches their children about Santa Claus is not following Jesus. Those in Christ don’t teach lies to their kids. Now, if what I’ve shared with you exemplifies what your church does, then please rethink your membership there. If you love God and want to follow Jesus, then run from even the appearance of evil. As Paul said, 1“prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22) Don’t allow the truth of God to be corrupted with lies like Santa Clause, and the Easter Bunny. These things only try to replace Jesus in what they do and cause people to forget Him. And anything replacing Jesus is an idol. So following Jesus is much better than allowing people to brainwash you into thinking that this is sort of thinking is OK. This happened to me in Mormonism. While a part of that church, I was taught to believe in Santa, and even the church had Santa come for kids to sit on his lap. Along with this, Halloween and trunk or treat at church were participated in each year. While doing Easter egg hunts was done during Easter. Isn’t this interesting to see the deception in plain sight, but still see people following this type of church and think it is OK with God. Having fun in life is fine, but when God is being replaced in different things while conforming with the world, then it is no longer fun anymore. So reevaluate your life and leave any church like this, while finding a good Bible-believing church instead. God bless you in your journey to come out of the darkness and into the light of Jesus.

Oh Lord, I pray that people will be attentive to Your promptings in life, and not give way to the evil one. Truly, Satan has a stronghold on people’s lives right now and even they can’t even see the deception that they are under. Even in this Christmas season does the devil try to lead people into believing in something else outside of Jesus. He has put Santa Claus as the center of attention during this time of year, making the story of Your birth, Jesus, not as important. If it was my wish, I would want anything that didn’t give You glory to be removed from Christmas. So, Lord, my prayer is that people will no longer teach their children to believe in Santa but to believe in You alone. Help them to remember that You came into the world to save them from their sins. Then will gratitude fill their hearts and minds until they really begin to praise You and not man. No person deserves to be looked at as knowing us when we sleep and seeing if we are good or bad, for only You can see this and not a figurative person. This is only idolatry and leading people on a path without You on it. So I pray that people’s eyes will be opened to Your truth and that people will change their wicked ways, starting today. May they give up believing in and teaching things that are not true to people and kids. Lying is serious in Your eyes and I pray that they will see this for themselves. I love You, Lord. I give You the glory and the praise. Amen.
