“Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols? Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks. For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man.” (Isaiah 10:11-13) – About 700–681 B.C.

The King James Version of Isaiah, chapter 10, was copied and pasted into the Book of Mormon. This chapter of Isaiah can be found in 2 Nephi, chapter 20. The book of Isaiah and 2 Nephi are also available to read in the next chapters of this book. Details of what took place can be found below…

I have said this many times and will say it again. If someone changes even a single word or sentence in a chapter of the Bible, the entire meaning of the story is altered. This is so evil. A church who dares to alter God’s Word is false. We should leave this type of man-made organization immediately. This type of behavior is a sure sign of a false prophet holding power within a false religion. Such a person is not led by God but by their flesh. An example is Joseph Smith. He not only changed the KJV Bible with his Joseph Smith Translation, but did so much more. He copied and pasted Bible chapters and verses into the Book of Mormon to make it sound Biblical. In this process, many verses, phrases, and words were changed. This in seen in Isaiah, chapter 10. It is written, “shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols? Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks. For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man.” (Isaiah 10:11-13)

Notice the words in bold in the Book of Mormon. These same words and phrases are changed when talking about people who are prideful. The words are changed in the same verses below. It is written, “shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and to her idols? Wherefore it shall come to pass that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon Mount Zion and upon Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks. For he saith: By the strength of my hand and by my wisdom I have done these things; for I am prudent; and I have moved the borders of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man.” (2 Nephi 20:11-13) The Bible says that by people’s own strength they do things, and by their own wisdom they are prudent or wise. However, the Book of Mormon says differently. Through the strength of their hands and their wisdom, they do things, for they are prudent. This might sound similar, but it changes how God felt about these individuals. Now please consider what I have shown you today, and follow Jesus! Give up your false beliefs for His sake. Our belief in Jesus causes us to do the will of the Father and not the will of men. This is unto salvation. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I love and honor You. Thank You for coming into my life and for giving me wisdom. In times past I would stutter and have no control over my words. Thankfully all that has been changed since I came to You in faith. In this weakness, You have made me strong. I used to struggle to speak confidently and clearly, but now I can do so with ease. If I am bold to speak to people about You, Jesus, You have done the work in my life. I am simply Your vessel, whom You are using for Your kingdom. I give You thanks for having faith and confidence in me. I have learned a lot from You, and know that there is a lot to learn still. I have much to grow in the faith as time goes on. My knowledge of Your Words can still be increased as time goes by. I love Your words in the Bible, for in them comes great power from on High. It is a pleasure to introduce You, Lord, to others. Only then can people see You in scripture and know that You are real and still alive. There are millions of false gods out there, but they cannot speak to us except for You. Holy, holy, is the Lord, God, Almighty. I give You the highest praise! Lead me safely home, Jesus. Help me fight the good fight in the faith and not give into temptation. I love You more, Jesus. You are my God, and I worship You. Amen.
