Book Of Mormon Plagiarism: Mosiah 5:15

If I was to say that we are called to be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the works of the Lord, Christians would go to the Bible and turn to 1 Corinthians, chapter 15. This is because Paul wrote to the church in Corinth on this very topic. However, if you are a Mormon, they would not know which place to look, their Bible or Book of Mormon. This is because the same phrase is in both places. One verse from Paul in the Bible and one verse from King Benjamin in the Book of Mormon. What is odd here is that this supposed character of King Benjamin was from 124BC, while Paul’s ministry is around 60AD. What Paul wrote is below. “57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:57,58) Pay close attention to the words in bold, for you will see the same exact phrase in a writing that supposedly predates Paul. This means plagiarism was involved. All I am doing here is being informative.

The writings from the Book of Mormon sound very Biblical, because of verses like this that are taken from the Bible. Not every person knows of all the plagiarism in the Book of Mormon, but thankfully there are sites like “Christianity Vs Mormonism” that has them all plainly listed, including this one today in regards to Paul’s writings found in the Book of Mormon. And so this fictional character named King Benjamin, who is said to be from 124BC, said the following. “15 Therefore, I would that ye should be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in good works, that Christ, the Lord God Omnipotent, may seal you his, that you may be brought to heaven, that ye may have everlasting salvation and eternal life, through the wisdom, and power, and justice, and mercy of him who created all things, in heaven and in earth, who is God above all. Amen.” (Mosiah 5:15) The devil loves what we see in the Book of Mormon, for it takes more people away from reading the Bible, while putting more attention to his man-made book instead. The Book of Mormon is not from God but from Satan. This is the truth of God. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that more people will be called by You and do Your will also as it is in heaven. Not just to learn at church, but to anxiously look to Your in our everyday lives. To be steadfast in the faith and unmovable in what You have taught us in the bible, not what we think is true. Too many people are unmovable in their own beliefs, which need to be removed in order for the Holy Spirit to lead them. I know that You are the one true God, who wants to lead us by the hand through the Spirit. How we can abound in good works when we live for You, Jesus. This labor is not in vain, for to live for You is where true joy comes from. There are many trials that come our way, especially when we are out in Your harvest. Sure, people may not experience this if they only go to church and keep everything they learn to themselves. This is what I call a person that is not born again, but dead in their faith. You know how dead my faith was for many years of my life. I had a form of godliness in me but denied Your power. Thankfully, I didn’t go to off course for You to save me. Lead me now and forever. I love You. Amen.
