“And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 3:2) – About A.D. 50–60.
“Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.” (Matthew 3:8-10) – About A.D. 50–60.

“And also the Spirit saith unto me, yea, crieth unto me with a mighty voice, saying: Go forth and say unto this people, Repent, for except ye repent ye can in nowise inherit the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, the Spirit saith: Behold, the ax is laid at the root of the tree; therefore every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit shall be hewn down and cast into the fire, yea, a fire which cannot be consumed, even an unquenchable fire. Behold, and remember, the Holy One hath spoken it.” (Alma 5:51,52) – About 83 B.C.

Verses from the King James Version of Matthew, chapter 3, were copied and pasted into the Book of Mormon. These verses can be found in Alma, chapter 5. Details of what took place can be found below…

Joseph Smith wanted the Book of Mormon to be the sole location of different verses from the Bible.  So instead of someone reading from the Bible, they would read from an altered form from the Book of Mormon. This is seen in Alma, chapter 5, and is in direct plagiarism of Matthew, chapter 3. There is no reference to John the Baptist being the author of these verses but Alma alone. The contents of Alma are supposedly from 83 B.C. This was before John the Baptist was even born. This people group was also, supposedly, on the opposite side of the world. Can you see the issues here? To understand what I am saying, I have bolded different words and phrases in Matthew. This way you can recognize the same phrases in Alma. It is written, “and saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 3:2) “Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.” (Matthew 3:8-10)

It is now appropriate to compare and contrast Matthew, chapter 3, with Alma, chapter 5. They both speak of the need to repentance for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Verse 52 in Alma is an exact replica of verse 10 in Matthew. See for yourself as you read this plagiarism in the Book of Mormon. It is written, “and also the Spirit saith unto me, yea, crieth unto me with a mighty voice, saying: Go forth and say unto this people, Repent, for except ye repent ye can in nowise inherit the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, the Spirit saith: Behold, the ax is laid at the root of the tree; therefore every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit shall be hewn down and cast into the fire, yea, a fire which cannot be consumed, even an unquenchable fire. Behold, and remember, the Holy One hath spoken it.” (Alma 5:51,52) The evidence for the Book of Mormon being a fraud is now on full display. Joseph Smith did a huge blunder for adding these verses in Matthew, chapter 3, to his book. It doesn’t take much to know that he used the Bible for the sole fact of making his book sound more Biblical. Therefore, I rebuke Joseph and declare him to be a false prophet. This church will not stand when Jesus returns. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, please come and help the Mormon community. They are so lost and cannot even realize it. I truly care for them, although people in their cult would call me a false prophet. I contact Mormon missionaries often, in order to guide them out of Mormonism and to You, which they dislike. Thankfully, this has not all been for nothing. I am grateful for those few people who have heard the true gospel message from the Bible and have since left this cult behind. You also know of others who have done this without me knowing. I am grateful to the many people who have left the Mormon church because of my website "Christianity Vs Mormonism" (christvm.com). Many people have made the decision to resign from Mormonism once and for all. This is astounding to think of. What I ask now Lord, is that this number will increase on a monthly basis. I pray that thousands of people will leave Mormonism for your sake. May they unlearn the lies and come to Your truth alone. It will take a sacrifice, but it is so worth it in the end. I love You, Jesus. Amen.
